Frequently Asked Questions — Renting a Car at Senda Miami
Everything we get asked, in one place. Booking, pickup, license, payment, mileage, tolls, parking and more — answered honestly, with the placeholders Senda can fill in.
Booking and reservations
- How do I book a car with Senda?Reserve online at sendarent.com, by phone at +1 (305) 555-0142, or by WhatsApp at +1 (786) 555-0177. Online reservations get a written quote within minutes.
- How far in advance should I book?Peak season (mid-December through mid-April): two to four weeks ahead. Shoulder and off-season: a few days. Specific models (convertible Mustang, 12-passenger van): more lead time helps.
- Can I change my reservation after booking?Yes. Date, time, vehicle category, and pickup point can all be changed up to the cancellation window in your quote.
- Do you offer last-minute rentals?Yes. Walk-ins and same-day reservations are welcome subject to availability. Call ahead so we can stage the vehicle.
Pickup and drop-off
- How does the free MIA shuttle work?Call or WhatsApp Senda when you land at MIA. We send the shuttle to the Rental Car Center area; from there it's about 8–12 minutes to our office. The driver will help with luggage.
- Can I pick up after Senda's stated hours?After-hours pickup is available with prior arrangement. A small after-hours fee may apply.
- Where do I drop the car off?At Senda's office at 2270 NW 36th St, Miami, FL 33142, by default. Our shuttle returns you to MIA after drop-off. PortMiami, FLL, and Miami Beach drop-offs are available with a fee.
- What if my flight is delayed?Tell us as soon as you know — Senda holds your reservation. There is no "no-show within 60 minutes" trick; we work around real flight delays.
Driver and license requirements
- What's the minimum age?21, with no young-driver surcharge for ages 21–24.
- Will you accept my country's driver's license?Yes — any country.
- Do I need an International Driving Permit? Not required, though helpful if your license is not in the Latin alphabet.
- Do I need a passport?International drivers: yes, as ID. US drivers: no, the driver's license is sufficient.
Payment, deposit, and insurance
- Can I pay with cash?Yes — for rental and deposit.
- Is a credit card required? No. Cash, Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, and debit cards are all accepted.
- Is insurance included?Yes. Every Senda rental includes all-risk insurance — CDW + LDW + third-party liability.
- Is there a young-driver surcharge?No, for drivers 21+.
- How much is the deposit?Depends on vehicle category and rental length. Refundable on return.
Vehicle, mileage, and use
- Are miles unlimited?Yes — every rental, every category. No per-mile fees inside the continental US.
- Can I drive to Key West?Yes. The 165-mile drive on US-1 is one of the most popular Senda trips.
- Can I drive to Orlando?Yes. About 235 miles on Florida's Turnpike.
- Can I drive into Mexico or Canada? No. Vehicles are not insured for travel outside the United States.
Tolls, parking, and Florida driving
- How do tolls work?Florida runs SunPass / E-PASS. Where the rental carries a transponder, tolls are passed through to your card on file at the actual posted rate. We do not bundle a markup tolls package.
- Where do I park in Miami Beach?Hotel garages ($35–$50/day typical) or city garages and meters. Ocean Drive parking is heavily metered.
Returns, extensions, and changes
- How does a late return work?A grace window applies; beyond that, hourly or daily charges apply. Tell us in advance if you'll be late.
- Can I extend mid-rental?Yes — call or WhatsApp. Extensions are charged at the standard daily rate.
- What if I get a parking ticket or toll violation? The fine is your responsibility. If a ticket comes to Senda by mail, we forward it to the renter on file plus a small administrative handling fee.
